Hello to administrators
We are going to organize a meeting via lidraughts between our two countries with FFJD and FID.
I would like to know if it's possible to have, as during a simultaneous games, a window with all the 12 games.
That' s because I want to do a live streaming about this event and i need a single window with all the game visible.

A new feature has come to the rescue! @philJ

Today a new tab 'Collection' has been added to the games overview page:
lidraughts.org/games/collection

This can be used to bundle a series of games of your choice (up to 21 in total) in a collection that is uniquely determined by its URL. So you can collect several games, and then share the url so others can follow the same set of games. Games can be finished or ongoing. Of course all the boards update live for ongoing games.

A short explanation:

In the 'Collection' screen there you see a small window on the bottom left with several options. The top two buttons can used to add more games:
- Enter a username and click the 'User TV' button, to add the current game of this user (either the game you see on this user's /tv page, or the most recently finished one)
- Paste a game url (or just the game id) and click 'Game URL' button, to add a specific game to the collection (can be either ongoing or finished)

The 'Edit collection' button allows you to flip boards or remove games.

With the 'Copy collection url' button you can copy a link to the current collection to the clipboard. Any person who opens this link will see the same set of games. These links will remain valid forever, also if the games are over.

Wow this is an amazing feature. Is there a way to make this permanent? Right now when I navigate away from this page and return it removes the games from collection. Is there a way to have the page remember which games I am following, so I can continue later.

I wish Lichess could have this, do you think you could post this on the github to see is they would add it. I would but they don't listen to me anymore after I've already requested so many things.

All the games are contained in the url, and the current url is automatically updated as you add or remove games. So if you navigate back/forward in the browser you get the same collection again. But there is currently no way to persist them beyond bookmarking the link for example.

It is quite a lightweight feature in its current form, that could be expanded on in several ways. Adding titles to collections and a pdn export button are likely improvements. Remembering the last collection you put together until you clear it manually might also be a good idea.

I think the backend code for this would fit fairly well with the current state of lichess, but the frontend is a different story because of the v2 interface. I honestly don't have the time to look into that right now, but might consider a pull request at some point in the future.
