Arena has very stupid pairing system.
I have seen this in all tournaments I played, but I will use this: lidraughts.org/tournament/HIQP4DeZ as example.
4 players waiting while 2 playing
And after 25 mins from tournament start 3 players out of 6 has played a game; after 30 minutes 2 players still have not played a game - ridiculous - how people can fight for place in tournament if they are not allowed to play with no other reason than bad pairing algorithm?
Additionally - 2 top rated players has already 6 and 5 games each ...
This really needs to be improved!

#1 First and foemost, what is actually needed is "MORE PLAYERS" to play at this website.

And talking about top 2 players-
They have a high frequency to play each other due to ranks.
Another thing, if any single player pauses or joins some time later after the arena starts, the pairing takes much time. As might you have tried [if] any 2 players play an arena then pairing hardly takes 2-5 minutes. I hope you understand.
