In English opening white can meet QID with Sämish setup.
Because black placed bishop on b7, white can't develop kingside knight naturally with Nf3, and one of options would be to play f3, and at good moment funny "ammonium" move Nh3 with intention to re-route knight to g5 or f2.
However, 3. d4 or 3. e4 does look more natural.

@LittleJennyWren If you intended to do "caveman attack", it will not work well. In this case white can even afford to play 4. Nf3, regardless of doubling pawns 4. .. Bxf3 5. exf3, because:
a) this continuation prevents kingside attack from black side;
b) white will enjoy a pair of bishops, and black king will not be so safe after castling kingside because of threats on lightsquares.
