Recently, I get a lot of questions from new players on this website about how to add your FMJD title to your account. Apparently, that's not easy to find (maybe it should be?). For those wondering about the answer (which I hope is still factual): send an e-mail to contact@lidraughts.org and you will get a reply from which you can start the verification procedure.

Might also be an idea to hold tournaments exclusive to titled players, like Lichess does — it would incentivize people to actually get their title verified. I think enough players at this point have an FMJD title for this to be feasible.

Both are true, and those tournaments are yet possible. But the best incentive is to have serious interesting prizes to play for (combined with the titled entry condition). If somehow those prizes get involved, then such tournaments get really probable.

Personally, I can only encourage players to get their titles verified. The viewers and other players will love it. I also understand that people like to play anonymously, and that is totally fine as well.

Players who both like to play in titled tournaments AND play anonymously could perhaps make one 'public' account, on which they display their title (and name) and for the rest keep anonymous accounts. I assume that is possible.
