can anyone tell me why there is no english/american draughts version on this site when its clearly one of the most popular version of checkers out there? its kind of funny you have Russian and Italian checkers on this site but English checkers is far more played in the world and yet no sigh here.??

Its a bit strange and unfortunate alright, its the version I grew up playing. Even casual online game sites have English draughts, why can't a dedicated draughts site?

bro the English checkers is way popular then all the other variants in this site.
i find English checkers more interesting than russian or 10X10 version. and I'm A professional chess player who fell in love with English checkers. actually the flying kings is much more boring to me because of 1 king even vs 3 kings is almost always a draw in 10X10 or russain checkers while in english checkers 2 kings win vs 1 way less draws there. also passed checkers is way more dangerous.

I certainly agree with the inability for the men to take backwards is preferable, as it makes the game more strategic by forcing a broader attempt to avoid being passed, whereas Brazilian and Russian checkers are more tactical and defensive by allowing backwards capture.

I like flying kings but they do, unlike English checkers, make the problem of stalemate worse for checkers. I find the Czech version of draughts interesting (I play it on a draughts app on my phone) for it has the flying kings but like English checkers no backwards capture for the men.

@RM13132717 there is a site named "play ok" and you can play english checkers there including competitive with elo,and there are quit alot of player out there.i think that english checkers are the most intresting and also the most popular and thats important to play a game with most of people play.
