I think it would be cool to be able to play on boards with sizes other than 8x8 and 10x10. On Go servers,like for example OGS, unrated games can be played on boards up to 25x25, using also non squared ones. Maybe this feature could be implemented on lidraughts, too.

Canadians play on 12x12 board under International rules,
some South Africans play on 14x14 board under International rules,
many East and North Europeans play even on 10x8 board under Russian rules.
10x8 board is very competitive: 3 kings vs. 1 king is a standard winning endgame on it. Besides, famous chess and draughts programmer Adrian Millett had made a good shareware program which allows to play on that size of board under International rules: http://cd.textfiles.com/jcsma2v18-2/gamebord/dynas80f.zip . That program must be be launched via DOSBox.
However, I acknowledge that it is a new experience and it demands particular technical solution, and, most of all, a time.

Yes, those are some of the sizes I read about and would like to give a try (specially 12x12 and 10x8). Also thanks for the software recommendation.
