Why so few players?

I joined this website in the hope of having an experience similar to the one on Lichess.org.
To my surprise, I discovered that there are close to nobody playing at the moment. For instance, right now I see up to 300 players online. This means "dead" when it comes to online projects, sadly, doesn't it?

Why so, does anybody know?

"Young" would be a more apt description. This site is still growing when I joined you would be lucky to see 10 players online. Go spread the word of this site. When Lichess was 2 years old they only had 5k players on at a time.

There are 10x to 100x less players of this game in the world. Chess is the number 1 most known game in the history of the world draughts/checkers somewhere in top 100. So go spread the word.

Spreading the word really is key. If you're on social media, forums, anything like that, post about it where it's appropriate. I got a couple of friends of mine onto the site by texting them about it.

We need more women at lidraughts! During my school years many girls refused to play chess against boys because girls considered chess as overly aggressive game which contradicts to traditional feminine approach to things. However, many among these girls enjoyed playing draughts and halma against boys, because these games were not about aggression but smartness. As well, many girls like draughts because of aesthetic qualities: they enjoy geometrical patterns which appear on the board.

i think draughts games are more agressive than chess ones but imao

Do you have any reason to think there are not women on Lidraughts?

There are some active women players at lidraughts, but women are not represented as much as it should be.
