It was the case in your game: AI had an unstoppable path for crowning, therefore, your material advantage is not sufficient for winning. In similar cases you must consider a sacrifice which would your opponent push back!

Instead of 33-28 on move 27, he could have played 33-29 so atleast draw would have been the possibilty.
