What's "real time"?

Hello!
I'm a beginner on lidraughts and I don't understand what's a game in real time, such as 5+3 or something like that, I only play with unlimited time usually. Are supposed to play the whole game in only 5 minutes? And what's the +3?
Sorry if it seems stupid, I'm a complete beginner.

"5+0¨ must be interpreted "a player has 5 minutes to end the game, and nothing more".
"5+3" means "a player has been given initially 5 minutes for playing a game, but for each completed move he or she gets an extra time 3 seconds". The technical term for this extra time is "increment".

+3= increment, 5 is the main time.
A website that is the most popular but does almost the same is the best website, lichess. ( www.lichess.org )
