Bad draughts problem

I agree: puzzle #753 is about seeing a win in one move, and in this respect there are two good solutions, while one is more direct, because it eliminates an accidental blunder: it is only due to particularity of majority capturing that second solution is possible!

Let me highlight that there are some principles in any puzzle solving by which the contestant can gain higher number of points in respective tournaments:

1st: "most economical solution", i.e., the shortest number of moves towards win or towards is to be considered as the best;
2nd: "most advantageous solution", i.e., in case of multiple alternative solutions a contestant must indicate which solution provides maximum advantage (usually, material advantage, but in some positions it may be positional advantage which leads to quickest win because of eventual zugzwang, opposition or theoretically proven win);
3rd: "most direct solution", i.e., in case of multiple alternative moves a contestant is obliged only to indicate principal and direct responses, but not some abstract and ambiguous moves.

N. B. Some federations organize competitions and tournaments where participants can earn titles (including national master title, btw.) by solving puzzles in front of arbiters and public, and, in my opinion, it would be nice if more national and regional federations put more efforts for establishment or revival of these tournaments, because they are good means for promotion of draughts.
