The first player who makes a king wins.
Breakthrough is a draughts variant where the first player to promote to a king wins the game.
The rules for moving the pieces are the same as international draughts. The game is won when a man ends its turn on the opponents back row, thus promoting to a king. Nothing happens when the back row is only touched in the middle of a capture sequence. Alternatively the game can be won as with international draughts, when the opponent runs out of moves (either by losing all pieces, or when they are all blocked). There are no draws in breakthrough.
